Motorbike Aficionados Swarm 6th ‘Biketoberfest’
More than three thousands of motorbikers hailing from Cebu and nearby Visayas areas took part to the 6th annually held ‘Biketoberfest’ which was organized by the Start Touring and Riding association in cooperation with Ayala Center Cebu and The Walk.
Drove off this weekend in the Cebu IT Park grounds in Lahug, Biketoberfest 2014 have not just gathered large-scale crowd of bikers and motorcycle clubs but also one that hosts its share of seminars, exhibitions and fun-filled activities.
The three-day biketoberfest was certainly more than just a peer of motorcycle riders as the event also highlighted variety of exciting activities, raffles, and staged live performances and showed off talents from participating motor clubs.
The annual gala was served as an awareness event to every participant to ride motorcycles with safety, as the organizers also encouraged motorbikers to become responsible by abiding law on traffic and roads, wearing motor gears to as much as possible prevent major injuries, be cautious and attentive in driving, and equality and camaraderie among small bikers.
Aside from awe-inspiring activities, the event has also extended advocacy to help street children from different barangay through feeding programs and donating slippers.
According to the organizers, they not just want to showcase sublime big bikes and any other motorcycles, but also to give back to the community.
Staying true to the core values of family, camaraderie and friendship led to the success of the annual Biketoberfest.
Biketoberfest kicked off last October 24 to 26, 2014.
