MODE OF TRANSPORT
These Tartanillas (Horse drawn Calash) parked alongside the historic blocks of Fort San Pedro are ready to transport guests and participants as they tour different heritage sites and Museums on Friday evening during this year’s 8th Gabii sa Kabilin.
Tartanilla, or kalesa, is one mode of transportation during the Spanish reign in the Philippines in the 18th century. It was introduced to the Islands to initially transport nobles and high ranking officials.
