Mandaue Business Summit: Embracing Holistic Change

Engaging Change. This is this year’s theme for the Mandaue Business Month and so were the topics shared during the recently concluded summit at the Cebu International Convention Center (CICC).

Discussions such as “Changed Or Be Changed” by Singaporean branding strategist Jacqueline Thng, “Transformation BReakthrough For Enterprises” by Ancilla Consulting CEO Tita Puangco, and “Mastering Self, Opportunity and Set Up to Succeed In Business and In Life” by best-selling author Michael Angelo Lobrin, challenged the audience last August 16.

Executives and employees from the different companies and sectors in Cebu and the neighboring provinces received lessons that will be essential of one’s growth thus, attaining change holistically.

The morning session was kicked off by Senator Benigno “Bam” Aquino with a policy agenda in growing business and competing globally. He was then followed by Senior Economist of Asian Development Bank Philippine Country Office, Norio Usui with “Taking The Right Road To Inclusive Growth”. Dr. Antonio Del Carmen, followed with “Entrepreneurship: A Roadmap to Inclusive Growth”.

The next two speakers for the first half of the one-day summit were Nader Anvari on “Trend In Technology and Smarter Enterprises”, and concluding was John Philip Orbeta for Managing Multi-Generation in The Workplace.

The afternoon session was equally informative as the morning part was with the last three speakers of the day. Thng was radical wiher presentations as scenarios of various brands she has worked with marked with the revolutionary status it now has through change. Puangco was also strategic in her thoughts on typical reactions to change, personal and organizational frameworks, change interventions, and best practices from companies that her Ancilla has supported in their change breakthrough initiatives. Ending the day’s event Lobrin was inspirational yet entertaining in his insights on life and the impact of change on people. He broke the conventional atmosphere in the event with his infused jokes in his points.

Mandaue Business Summit 2013 was organized by the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) in partnership with the province of Cebu and Mandaue City government in cooperation with the Ateneo Graduate School of Business Cebu Campus in celebration of the Mandaue Business Month.
