Laoag City Employees to Receive Additional Bonus
Laoag City (PNA) – Employees of the Laoag City government will have a merry Christmas as City mayor Chevylle V. Farinas announces the distribution of additional incentive to all its employees including contractual workers.
Farinas said that the local government of Laoag City is set to distribute additional incentive considered as 14th month pay on the city’s Christmas Party not later than December 25.
City Accountant Edgar Pascual also said that the employees’ 13th month pay is also set to be distributed on Nov. 18, 2015.
“These cash incentives are all for the employees’ sacrifices and hard work that paid off,” Pascual said.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is mandating all private sectors to pay their rank-and-file employees of 13th Month Pay on or before Dec. 24 of every year, while additional bonuses shall depend on the company’s savings.
According to DOLE, the distribution of the 13th month pay shall not be later than Dec. 24 every year, however, the employer may give his or her employees one-half (1/2) of the payment before the opening of the regular school year. (PNA) FPV/LGA/CDG
