Jollibee Treats Families on ‘Family Bee Day’

Memorable. Fun. Meaningful. These are just a few of the adjectives that can be described of the recently concluded “Jollibee Family Bee Day” last May 10, 2014 in Cebu.

Groups of families gathered at the Plaza Independencia to join the thrill and excitement brought by the country’s number one fast-food chain, Jollibee.

The Family Bee Day was held simultaneously in four different areas in the Philippines namely at the Quirino Grandstand in Metro Manila, Bayanihan park in Pampanga, Nuvali football grounds in Laguna and Crocodile Park in Davao.

In Cebu, celebrities Julie Ann San Jose, Sponge Cola and Gerald Anderson entertained both young and old alike, while stilt walkers, raffle prizes, gift certificates, gift packs, inflatable slides, basketball shootout and Jollibee photo booths were in to complete the treat.

The three-hour show likewise featured dance performances from Jollibee and friends, the Jollibee Kids Club dancers and leading local dance groups. Jollibee endorser Sarah Geronimo greeted the spectators at the Plaza Independencia via a recorded video, and introduced the new Jollibee theme song.

“This is a first of Jollibee [Grand Family Bee Day]. The concept is to bring back the customary bonding activity shared among the Filipino families—picnic—which have not been practiced anymore as families nowadays spend time in malls,” said Nelson Judaya, regional marketing manager for Visayas.

He also said that the Family Bee Day is one of the initiated events of Jolibee under the theme “Sa Sarap Ng Pagsama-sama, Lahat Nagiging Pamilya”.

There were close to 2,000 people who participated in the grandest picnic event. Parents, their kids, and even groups of friends took time to chill out on that sunny summer afternoon.

Happy Plus Card

Jollibee has launched its Jollibee Plus Kid “Happy Plus Card” which entitles Jollibee avids to exclusive privileges, promos, rebates and the chance to win a P30,000 worth of Jollibee Kids Party.

Summer Camp

Its Jollibee Summer Fun Camp is also still ongoing and interested children ages 12 and below can get the chance to learn singing, dancing and burger-making for a minimal fee of P150 per kid. Plus, they’ll have the chance to be chosen to show their talent at the Jollibee branch where they’ve enrolled and. The fee is inclusive of a Jollibee cap, Jollibee Kids Club uniform and snacks from Jollibee.

Other celebrities who graced in the Family Bee Day in the different parts of the country where Martin Nievera, Klarisse de Guzman and Callalily in Metro Manila; Marian Rivera, Erik Santos and Moonstar88 in Laguna, Julia Barretto, Shaina Magdayao, Rayver Cruz and 6Cyclemind in Pampanga; and Maja Salvador, Slater Young and Imago in Davao. Carmina Villaroel-Legaspi, Regine Tolentino, and Vince and Patricia Hizon also joined the families to have a picnic.
