Gullas: Projects Will Be Affected If PDAF Is Abolished
First district Rep. Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas admitted that once their Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) is abolished, several projects in his district may have to suffer.
“Posible mawa ang mga medical assistance ug scholarship program nato,” said Gullas, a first-term congressman. He said that although he admitted that the PDAF has been “abused” by some people in the Congress, it has also its advantages as it is where he gets the money to support his projects, and without it these projects may have to go.
“It (PDAF) is abused we can’t deny that fact. If it is what the people want then we have to go for it, “ he said. But Gullas said there are other ways that a congressman can source out funds for his projects, and he said he may have to do that like what his grandfather, former Congressman Eduardo Gullas, did in his time.
