Face Masks Now Optional Outdoors in Cebu Province
Wearing facemasks in open spaces is no longer required in Cebu Province starting today, June 9, 2022.
Cebu Provincial Governor Gwendolyn Garcia issued Executive Order (EO) no. 16 that no longer requires the wearing of face masks in open spaces or well-ventilated areas.
“The use of face masks shall be optional in well-ventilated and open spaces,” the EO reads.
However, the EO stressed that wearing facemasks in crowded outdoor areas is highly encouraged.
The EO also stated that people with COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, cough, or runny nose must wear their facemask when outdoors.
Moreover, wearing facemasks in closed and/or airconditioned spaces is still required. (ASC)
