COMELEC Extends Registration Hours, Adds Saturdays
Commission on Elections (COMELEC) extends registration hours and opens registration on Saturdays in selected areas starting October 16.
COMELEC office hours extended their registration hours up to 7:00 PM on Monday to Friday. Registration is also open on Saturdays but only until 5:00 PM.
This new update on the office hours will apply to all Office of the Election Officers (OEO’s) and mall registration in selected areas:
- Cebu City
- Mandaue City
- Lapu-Lapu City
- Cebu Province
- All municipalities and cities in National Capital Region (NCR)
- Alcala Town, Pangasinan
- San Quintin, Pangasinan
- Tarlac City
- Capas
- Concepcion
- All municipalities and cities in Quezon Province
- Labo
- Camarines Norte
- Castilla
- Sorsogon
Meanwhile, these areas will still follow the 8 AM to 5 PM registration hours from Monday to Friday, but will also be open on Saturdays on October 16 and October 23.
These areas are:
- Anda, Sto. Tomas, and Sual in Pangasinan
- Aringay Town, Balaoan Town and Caba Town in La Union
- All cities and municipalities of Ilocos Sur
- Balatan
- Bula
- Cabusao
- Goa
- Lagonoy
- Libmanan
- Magarao
- Minalabac
- Ragay, Saghay, San Fernando, San Jose, Tigaon and Tinambac in Camarines Sur
Other cities and towns in the country will follow the Mondays to Fridays, 8 AM to 5 PM registration hours.
COMELEC also said that the last day for the voter’s registration will be on October 30, 2021, Saturday. (ASC)
