Clean Master Reaches 100M Daily Active Users

The world’s most downloaded Android cleaner continues to engage consumers with top rankings and superior performance

As of June 30, 2014, monthly active users (MAU), for all Cheetah Mobile apps combined surpassed 284 million, an increase of 255 percent year-over-year. Total mobile user installations globally increased by 32 percent quarter-over-quarter to 662 million as of June 30, 2014.

Clean Master is designed to reclaim storage, boost memory, enhance speed and keep smartphones secure from malware and viruses. It is currently the world’s most downloaded mobile cleaner for Android and continues to rank no.1 in the tools category on Google Play, according to App Annie.

Cheetah Mobile continues to enhance its most popular app, Clean Master. The most recent update featuring a new device cooling function was released in Aug. 2014, as Clean Master developers recognized a strong need among consumers to keep their mobile phones from overheating. The device cooling function shows a phone’s temperature in real time and illustrates to users the amount of CPU power each app is consuming. If an app is using more CPU power than normal, users can easily release the occupied CPU back into the Android system with the press of a button.

Clean Master has a review score of 4.7 out of 5 from consumers on Google Play. Additionally, for the sixth consecutive time, AV-Test.org awarded Clean Master the top spot in its latest assessment of Android security, with a perfect protection score of 100 out of 100.
