Cebu City Warns Public on Fake Vax Cards
Cebu City government warns the public about the use of fake vaccination cards.
This comes after individuals were arrested using fake vaccination cards as a travel requirement.
Cebu City Dave Tumulak said that these fake vaccination cards serve no purpose as authorities can still verify if the vaccination card is authentic.
Five individuals were arrested at a printing shop in the city for producing and selling fake vaccination cards.
Tumulak also said that the purpose of the vaccination card is to verify that the person is inoculated — faking a vaccination card wouldn’t help in their protection against COVID-19.
Individuals who use fake vaccination cards will be charged for falsification of public documents under Article 172 of the Revised Penal Code. (ASC)
