To strengthen the city’s vaccination efforts, the Cebu City government plans to only allow fully-vaccinated persons to enter indoor and outdoor establishments starting next year.

Starting January 1, 2022, establishments both indoor or outdoor will require the presentation of vaccination cards upon entering.

The Cebu City Police Office said that they will make sure that the said directive will be strictly imposed in the city.

The new policy will also not allow unvaccinated teens ages 12 to 17 to enter establishments even if they are accompanied by a fully-vaccinated adult.

Moreover, individuals that are entering Cebu City from other provinces whether by land, air, or sea will be required to present a vaccination card with a QR code for vaccinated individuals.

In the case of non-vaccinated individuals, they will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test result that is valid for 72 hours before they can enter Cebu City.

Non-vaccinated individuals can also present a negative antigen or saliva test result that is valid for 48 hours. (ASC)
