CCCI Conducts Relief Operation in Cordova
Over 1,500 families have received relief goods during the relief operation conducted by Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) last September 28, 2013 at the Cordova Municipal Grounds. The event was led by CCCI’s Vice President for External Affairs and Relations Division Consul Antonio Chiu and Disaster Committee Chair Regan Rex King.
This is in response to the oil spill incident caused by the collision of two sea vessels last August 16, 2013 that have greatly affected the livelihood of fishermen and those living in the coastal area in the Municipality of Cordova.
Hence, the business sector, academe, government agencies and non-government organizations convened in the cause to help the fisherfolks.
CCCI’s Cordova Relief Operation was made possible through the valuable contribution of Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu and its Alumni Association, RDAK Transport Equipment, Inc., GT Cosmetics Manufacturing, Inc., Cebu Landmasters, Inc., National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), Cebu Oversea Hardware, Mactan Rock Industries, Cebu GTH Foundation, Teradyne Philippines, STK Seafood House, Sea World Ex-Im Traders and Greenworld Led Solutions.
The event was also supported by Juanito I. King Foundation, Inc., Canduman Manufacturing Corporation, Fluor Daniel, Inc. Philippines – Cebu, Seamaster Food Products, Philippine Spring Water Sources, Virginia Food, TRI-J Marketing, Lourdes Food Products and Catering Services, Colonnade Supermarket, RC Goldline, Choi City Seafood Restaurant, Magic Melt and Sheridan Marketing.
The Armed Forces of the Philippines Central Command (AFP Centcom), Boy Scouts of the Philippines Cebu Council, PMAP Cebu, Junior People Management Association of the Philippines (JPMAP) and Crown Worldwide Group volunteered during the said relief operation.
