CBM Rolls Out Three-part Entrepreneurship Seminar Series
The first of a series of three “Entrepreneurship Seminars” kicked off with “Building a National Brand and going Nationwide” held Tuesday, June 10 at the Cebu City Marriott Hotel. Two more seminars are pegged for June 17 and 24, 2014 as part of the activities within the Cebu Business Month (CBM); wherein local players can connect with businessmen and create networks among aspiring entrepreneurs.
The seminars are intended for start-up entrepreneurs, employees, self-employed or stay-at-home parents, who would like to know how to grow their business.
“Building a National Brand and going Nationwide” encouraged Cebu’s homegrown businesses to go beyond Cebu. Successful local players who made it nationwide will share tips on “Brand Equity Building, Expressing and Evolving for Owning Your Target Market Segments”, “Building a National Brand, and Penetrating Manila and Become a National Player”.
Up next is “Competing in the Global Space”, which will be held on June 17, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Harolds Hotel. Speakers will discuss the implications, threats and opportunities brought about by the ASEAN Economic Integration in 2015.
“Basics of Successful Exporting”, the last of the series, will be held on June 24, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Cebu Grand Hotel. It aims to develop the local exporting business, present the proper guidelines and create an understanding of the foreign in order to inspire, educate and guide emerging and existing entrepreneurs toward businesses beyond the boundaries of the Philippines.
The seminars are also created to adopt specific business plans to protect themselves against implications of the ASEAN Economic Integration while taking advantage of new opportunities in the exporting business.
The series of Entrepreneurship seminars are spearheaded by Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. (CCCI) in line with Cebu Business Month (CBM).
Since 1996, the CBM has become an institutionalized month-long jubilee of the business community founded by CCCI, the only ISO-certified chamber in the Philippines. CBM features a series of events that highlight and inspire more successes in the Cebu Business Community as well as advocate, share and provide a more dynamic and optimistic road for a sustainable business atmosphere in Cebu and the neighboring islands.
