Cayetano Promises More Jobs to Cebuanos

Senatorial candidate Alan Peter Cayetano earlier today promised more jobs for Cebuanos.

How he could do it? Cayetano, in his visit in Matmat Chicharon’s factory in Carcar City, said if the government would provide capital for small businesses, jobs would spur in all areas of the country.

“The growth should not be felt in Manila alone but also sa ibaba,” he told reporters. Cayetano said the chicharon industry, for one, can give jobs to locals already, but it could give more if the government would give its support to it financially. He said, however, this will slowly be realized through the 4Ps project of the government, wherein
P20 billion and more is set to release next year. And from this amount, Cayetano said he would propose that P500 million will go to each region to be used as capital for small businesses.
