‘Buhawi’ hits Minglanilla town

A buhawi hit two barangays of Minglanilla town at around 2 pm tuesday damaging at least 10 houses.

Minglanilla Planning and Information Officer Joselito Nacario said roofs of the houses at Phase 3, Deca Homes in Barangay Tungkil were blown off after the buhawi hit the area earlier Tuesday afternoon. Also, a feed mill factory in Barangay Calajo-an, adjacent to Tungkil, was damaged, with its roofs detached after being rocked by the strong winds.

As of 3 pm’s inspection Tuesday, Nacario said no one was reported injured in the incident, although his team were still in the affected area as of this posting.
