ACTIVE PERIODS
The sun is back and its radiant light helps this bee fill its honey sack where they hold the nectar that is taken from the red-violet flowers of this coral vine (Cadena de Amor), grown a remote garden in Minglanilla, Cebu.
At the hive, the nectar is regurgitated and placed in the honeycomb cells. Bees and flowers have symbiotic relationship- the bees are dependent to the flowers for food and the flowers need bees to aid in its pollination.
Bees are most active in summer since most plants tend to flower during this sunny period.
