DENR-7 to Mark 48th Anniversary of Earth Month

This year’s celebration of “Month of Planet Earth” will banner the theme: “Green the Cities, Green the Oceans and Plastic Pollutions” to mark the 48th anniversary of Earth Month this April.

According to Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Supervising Ecosystem Management Specialist, Felimon Alex Selor, the activities for Earth Day will include mangrove planting and coastal clean-up.

Although Earth Day is set on on April 22, Selor said the schedule is still tentative because of the possible high tide.

The private sector is also encouraged to join the celebration of Earth Month and Earth Day.

“Sa kadtong gusto nga ahensya or mga bag-ong company kung gusto ta nga mo apil sa maong kalihokan adto lang ta sa atong duol nga Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (For companies who want to join the activities, just go to the nearest CENRO in your area),” Selor said.
