Isabela State U Among Top Performing Sucs in Ph
The Isabela State University (ISU) was recently hailed as among the top performing state universities and colleges (SUCs) in the country by the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP).
Dr. Precila De Lima, executive officer of ISU campus here, said the conferment of the award was in recognition of the university as having the most number of accredited degree programs for 2017.
De Lima said the award was given during AACCUP’s 31st annual national conference held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel from March 7-9.
“ISU ranks second in terms of having the most number of accredited degree programs. At least 90% of programs in ISU-Cauayan City campus alone were already accredited by AACCUP,” she said.
De Lima said the ISU system management, through the leadership of Dr. Ricmar Aquino, wants to raise the level of quality of education to be competitive in ASEAN region and the whole world.
Other SUCs that were also recognized by AACCUP include Cavite State University, Cebu Technical University, West Visayas State University, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Jose Rizal Memorial State University, Palawan State University, University of Eastern Philippines, Western Mindanao State University, Pangasinan State University and Central Mindanao State University.
