Published

on

With the continued efforts of the Cebu Provincial Government in eradicating illegal fishing and in protecting our environment, around 250 fish wardens received a set of tools that will help them in coastal law enforcement.

Around 50 municipalities and cities of the province each received a set of medical kit, megaphone, binoculars, and flashlights, while life jackets were handed over to each fish warden.

The fish wardens and other law enforcers also took their pledge of commitment.

Among those present during the program were Gov. Hilario P. Davide III, 6th District Provincial Board Member Hon. Thadeo Jonkie Ouano, chairman of environment protection and natural resources, Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma, National Bureau of Investigation 7 Director Patricio Bernales Jr., and representatives from the 15 institutions who signed a Memorandum of Agreement.
