VISAYAS WEATHER FORECAST: 12 February 2018

SYNOPSIS:  At 3:00 am today, Tropical Storm “BASYANG” was estimated based on all available data at 720km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (7.4N,132.8E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 25 km/h.Northeast Monsoonaffecting Northern and Central Luzon.

FORECAST:
Southern Leyte and Bohol will have rains w/ gusty winds due to TS Basyang. The rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies w/ scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms. Palawan and Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers.

Strong to Gale force wind from the Northeast will prevail over Eastern section of Visayas and the coastal waters will be rough to very rough. Moderate to strong winds from the Northeast will prevail over the rest of of Visayas, Palawan and Occidental Mindoro with moderate to rough seas.
