MCDCB RPOD Execom Holds First Meeting for 2018

Last January 09, 2018, The Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board – Research, Program, and Organizational Development Executive Committee (MCDCB RPOD Execom) conducted its first monthly meeting for the year at the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation Inc – Eduardo Aboitiz Development and Studies Center (RAFI-EADSC).

Mr. Dionisio Ledres, Jr., Assistant Regional Director of the National Economic Development Authority Region VII (NEDA 7) presided the said gathering. After the preliminaries, Mr. Ledres shared to the body the consolidated comments and feedback for the 1st Progress Report of the Metro Cebu Urban Transport Master Plan: Selection of Priority Projects and the Implementation of Pilot Projects. Also part of the ensuing discussions was the report of Engr. Earl Escuanela of the Department of Public Works and Highways – Unified Project Management Office (DPWH-UPMO). He gave an update on the status of the Drainage and Flood Control Master Plan Study and the Metro Cebu Flood Control Projects. In addition, Engr. Emmanuel “Bong” Espina of Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) also gave an update on the Metro Cebu Septage Treatment Plant Feasibility Study.

MCDCB RPOD Program Management Office (PMO) Director, Ms. Evelyn Nacario-Castro, presented their 2018 meeting schedule while Ms. Caroline Ballesteros, Mega Cebu Communication and Stakeholders Relationship Manager, gave an update on the activities and initiatives of the Mega Cebu stakheloder relations.

Ms. Castro also presented to the body updates on the progress of the Mega Cebu Development Authority (MCDA) Bill which is currently at the committee level of the House of Representatives Committee on Government Enterprises and Privatization.
