CCCI Successfully Conducted Business Basics Literacy Seminar to Urban and Rural Micro Entrepreneurs
A total of 60 small business owners dubbed as urban entrepreneurs, and 85 farmers as rural entrepreneurs from Busay and Sudlon II, Cebu City successfully completed the Basics of Business Literacy Seminar organized by the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) with funding support from the Cebu City Government.
The seminars were conducted in partnership with the Cebu People’s Multipurpose Cooperative and Llamac Multi-Purpose Cooperative last April 23 and 30, 2016 at the Cityscape Hotel, Mandaue City, and Northwinds Hotel in Cebu City, respectively.
Basics of Financial Management, Marketing and Alternative Source of Income, Leadership and Management, and People Skills were the topics discussed to both urban and rural entrepreneurs. Additional topic on the Overview on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) – Its Importance and Benefits was given to the farmer entrepreneurs.
Resource speakers were Ms. Belle Grandea of Frontgate HR Consultancy; Mr. Joseph Subong of the University of Cebu; and Mr. Adonis Traje of AFOS Foundation for GAP.
The Basic Literacy Seminar is part of the Business Development and Management Services Program of CCCI that aims to capacitate the micro entrepreneurs with relevant business principles to boost their entrepreneurial spirit and improve their business management knowledge towards making better business decisions.
