96 Cebu City COVID-19 Patients Recover
96 patients who were isolated at the city government’s patient care facility at the South Road Properties (SRP) successfully recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), as announced by Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
Labella went to the SRP care facility, the Project NOAH Complex, to personally express his gratitude and commendation to the personnel behind the creation of the care center.
“Nianhi gyod ko when I learned that there are so many recoveries kay di gyod mahimo nga I cannot express my sincerest gratitude and commendation to the men and women behind this facility. I am referring to Vice Mayor Mike Rama, Councilor Dondon Hontiveros, Atty. Jocelyn Pesquera, Dr. Peter Mancao, Dr. Ester Concha and all others,” Mayor Labella said.
The mayor also visited the Project NOAH Complex to meet the patients who were due for discharge from the facility as they have successfully recovered from COVID-19.
He then reminded the patients to share their experiences on their battle “against the invisible enemy” to their community in hopes that people may learn from them.
Vice Mayor Michael “Mike” Rama also asked the recovered patients to remind others, especially their family members to always follow the minimum health standard like the wearing of face mask.
The Project NOAH Complex is a temporary facility for Covid-19 positive, asymptomatic patients.
Aside from the Project NOAH Complex, the city government also runs the Cebu City Quarantine Center (CCQC) in the fight against COVID-19.
The Sacred Heart School Bayanihan Field Center and the EIC Bayanihan Field Center are also in operation and being supported by the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas (OPAV). (GFB)
