Yamaha’s Top Grade XTZ 125, Serow 250 Strides in Calambua Motocross

Yamaha Motor Philippines Incorporated (YMPH) has finally brought out to Cebu its latest dual sports bikes that boast great rides on rough terrain as it went off-road in the fifth leg of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series dubbed as the 2014 Calambua Motocross Challenge in San Remegio town, north of Cebu.

To Revs off the race with over a hundred riders nationwide, Yamaha has added the off-road world category that was highlighted by the two top-grade motorbikes, the XTZ 125 and Serow 250.

The XTZ 125 is a lightweight, high performance bike that features convenient maneuverability, reliability, and fuel efficiency with an 11-liter fuel capacity. It comes with a long suspension travel and adjustable rear shock, making it well-adapted for off-road use.

The Serow 250 is Yamaha’s latest iteration of the legendary Serow series, which the company has been manufacturing since 1985. It highlights superior maneuverability suited for mountain trails, and is equipped with a powerful torque and a fuel-injected engine. Both motorcycles are made entirely in Japan, which means it has quality interior and exterior parts to redefine the outdoor environment in the region.

The other categories contested in the motocross were the mini 60cc and 85cc, beginners, local enduro, open enduro, executive A, B and C, intermediate, pro open, and expert.

Supported by Yamaha Off-Road Racing, the proceeds of the charity motocross will be used for the ongoing restoration of the school facilities and any other rehabilitation activities for some places left devastated by the super typhoon Yolanda.

The event is co-presented by Yamaha Motor Philippines Inc., and also supported by CST Motorcycle Tire, F & FO Motor Parts, RMO Motor Parts, JCO Motor Parts, New MS Apartelle,Prospeed, Motomaze, Ljun Motorparts, N Style Motor Parts, Speed-up Motor Parts, Diosdado Navarez, and Lauron Refrigeration and Airconditioning.
