Yakimix: Pan-Asian Cuisine
With a mix of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Filipino cuisine, Yakimix is sure to delight your taste buds.
Founded on 2008 by four food-passionate friends, it has rapidly expanded in Manila with branches in Macapagal Avenue (its first), Tomas Morato, SM-MOA, Trinoma, Greenbelt, North Edsa, Alabang, Masinag, Malate, Podium, Davao, Gensan and Yakimix Prime the Fort.
Now it has expanded in Cebu with its 13th branch in Capitol Square, Brgy Kamputhaw, N. Escario St.
Owner, Robert Chua; Regional Manager, Chito Manlapaz; and Executive Chef, Tony Lau and Ken Diao launched a press conference concerning their hopes for the future of Yakimix in Cebu. With various and notable eat-all-you-can buffets and grills already in Cebu, Chua highlights that their competitive edge is their affordable prices, and the fact that his first business deals in the distribution of fruit and vegetables.

It gives him the edge of buying fresh ingredients at a cheap price to produce delicious culinary masterpieces at a reasonable price.

From the words “Yaki” –a Japanese word which translates to ‘grilled’, ‘broiled’ or ‘pan-fried’- and “Mix” –which is defined as ‘to combine’- when put together created Yakimix. It is a restaurant that offers a smokeless grill and an eat-all-you-can buffet which serves 150-200 varieties of main courses, desserts, and drinks at a very affordable price of P499 per person. Dinner, weekends and holidays are up to P599 per individual. Currently, it has a seating capacity of 250 people. Additionally, there are 20 Hong-Kong trained chefs currently working in all of Yakimix’s restaurants giving it an authentic pan-Asian flavor.
