Wise Guidance

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3: 5-6

“This is what the Lord says, ‘Cursed are those who put their trust in mere humans and turn their hearts away from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5

The wrong things in life often seem attractive to the human heart and mind, making us gullible. That it is why it is so important to weigh what we hear, using God’s Word as the standard of Truth. It is also wise to seek advice from godly people who follow the Lord closely. Then we won’t worry about following the wrong people or things.

“It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in people. It is better to trust the Lord than to put confidence in princes.” Psalm 118: 8-9

“…who go down to Egypt without consulting me; who look for help to Pharaoh’s protection, to Egypt’s shade for refuge. But Pharaoh’s protection will be to your shame, Egypt’s shade will bring you disgrace.” Isaiah 30: 2-3
