Yes, sometimes we just can’t figure out why problems come back from time to time. There are other times it just fixes itself, and it’s hard to tell where the problem even started.

To solve any problem, we must first find out what causes it—the root cause. Without that, we’re only guessing. You might fix what’s visible, but if the real issue is deeper, it’s only a matter of time before it shows up again.

Problem-solving is a skill every entrepreneur should have. In business, problems don’t knock before they enter. If you don’t know how to handle them, they’ll keep returning and mess with your work, your money, and your focus.

Track and Observe

Write things down when a problem happens. What exactly went wrong? When did it happen? Who was involved? What steps were taken to fix it? Keeping a record helps you spot patterns. You’ll start to notice what triggers the issue.

Also, don’t just fix what’s on the surface. Ask why it happened, and then ask “why” again. The first answer is usually not the real cause.

Talk and Test

Ask the people around you. Whether it’s your team, your suppliers, or your customers, they might have seen something you didn’t. Don’t try to carry everything alone—problem-solving gets better when ideas are shared.

Once you’ve tried a solution, don’t walk away from it. Test it. Watch it over time. Problems don’t always vanish overnight. Stay alert, and check if the issue is really gone.

If it comes back, that’s okay. Keep adjusting until it works.

Problems will always be part of business. The goal isn’t to avoid them forever—it’s to learn how to handle them faster, smarter, and with less stress each time.

And the more you do that, the better you’ll get—not just as a business owner, but as someone who doesn’t panic when things go wrong. (ASC)
