Walk-Ins Now Allowed in Talisay City Vax Sites

The Mayor of Talisay City, Gerald Anthony Gullas JR., has announced on Monday that they will now allow walk-ins in the COVID-19 vaccination sites in the city.

Gullas announced this on his Facebook page after a meeting with the city’s health officials.

“After meeting with our officials from City Health Office and our Emergency Operation Center (EOC) earlier today, we decided to accept walk-ins in all four of our vaccination sites,” the post reads.

Walk-ins for the vaccination will start from 11 AM until 3 PM to avoid huge crowds at the vaccination site.

“One issue that I discussed with our City Health and EOC officials is the possibility that an unmanaged mass gathering could occur if we allow walk-ins,” he added.

The mayor also said that senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) are told to get their COVID-19 vaccine jab at the Barangay Lagtang Gym and Starmall for their convenience.

“If you have co-morbidities, please provide medical certification from your doctor stating that you have this particular ailment. For our senior citizens and wheelchair-bound vaccinees, our Lagtang Gym and Starmall can cater to your needs,” he said.

Walk-ins are required to bring their ID that will indicate that they are from Talisay and for people who are not from Talisay but working in the city just bring your company ID.

If a specific site has many second doses to cater an announcement will be made the day before that walk-ins will not be allowed in that site.

Moreover, Gullas also urge Talisaynons to get vaccinated to protect themselves from COVID-19.

“This is now a good chance for our citizens to avail of our vaccination.
I suggest taking this chance as it will be the best thing that you can do to protect yourself from Covid-19. Dili lang unta ta magduha-duha. Vaccines are safe,” Gullas said.

The vaccination sites in Talisay City are at the Barangay Lagtang Gym, Starmall Talisay, South Town Center, and Gaisano Capital SRP. (ASC)
