VP Binay On His Absence in The Senate Hearing Today
The senators conducting the probe “are not ready to hear any explanation that contradicts their conclusion that I am guilty.”
“This will set a bad precedent, where the Vice President, the second highest official of the land, can be summoned to a hearing by some senators,” Binay reportedly said in his letter to Senator Teofisto Guingona III, blue ribbon committee chairman.
In his letter, Binay hit the Senate leadership over what he claims was its failure to call the attention of the senators for their behavior and their violation of due process and individual rights.
