Vitamins and Minerals For the Skin

When vitamins and minerals aren’t  taken in through food, your skin can suffer and age prematurely. Deficiencies appear that lead to ailments such as acne, black eyes, dandruff, dermatitis, dry skin, eczema, hives, itching, enlarged pores, skin allergies, stretch marks and wrinkles.

Fruit-based nutrients that can help support the skin include bee pollen and propolis, which can prevent wrinkles; grapefruit, which improves the complexion; papaya and pineapple; essential fatty acid-containing food such as fish, flax and avocado oils, to help improve the visual appearance of the skin; and cucumber, carrot, cabbage, garlic and ginger juice.
