Visayas Weather Forecast: December 22, 2017

SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Severe Tropical Storm “VINTA” was estimated based on all available data including Hinatuan Doppler Radar at 55km South Southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur (7.9N, 126.5E) with maximum winds of 90 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 125 km/h. It is forecast to move West at 20 km/h.

FORECAST:
Siquijor and Southern Negros Oriental will experience stormy weather while Southern Leyte, Bohol, the rest of Negros Oriental and southern portion of Leyte, Cebu and Negros Occidental will experience rains with gusty winds due to TS Vinta.

Rest of Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TS Vinta. Provinces of Occidental Mindoro and Palawan will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to Trough of STS Vinta.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Visayas and the provinces of Palawan and Occidental Mindoro and its coastal waters will be moderate to rough.
