Visayas to Have Cold Weather Due to Amihan
PAGASA on Friday said strong Amihan winds will continue to affect large part of the country with cold weather and light rains particularly in Luzon and Visayas.
Weather authorities said Visayas will have high chances of rain on Sunday while chances of moderate rain and thunderstorms are expected in Caraga and Davao regions.
In Iloilo, where the Dinagyang Festival will be held, fair weather is expected, PAGASA said.
Fair weather will also be experienced in Luzon, except for some areas in the eastern side of northern Luzon, where overcast skies and frequent light rains will prevail, PAGASA said.
Authorities said chances of rain in Metro Manila remains low in the afternoon and at night adding that fair weather will continue over the next two days.
Weather report said clear skies will also be experienced this weekend in Mindanao but light rain and cloudy skies might occur in its southern section on Saturday.
Authorities has raised gale warning in the seaboards of Luzon, eastern seaboard of Visayas, and northern and eastern seaboard of Mindanao where waves might reach up to five meters high.
It advised fisherfolk using small seacraft to avoid sailing in said areas.
