Visayas to Expect Light Rain as Rainy Weather Continue in Parts of PHL
The country will continue to experience a rainy weather especially in the afternoon and in the evening, but this doesn’t mean that the rainy season has officially started yet, GMA News Online said on Thursday.
Report said the wind map of The Weather Company showed that the southwest windflow may strengthen next week and bring rain to Luzon on Tuesday.
Light rain are expected in the Visayas, while the northern and central parts of Luzon will experience rain and thunderstorms, report added.
GMA’s Nathaniel Cruz explained on Thursday that the southwest windflow, coming from the southern hemisphere, is affecting the country. He added that it may bring about the beginning of the rainy season caused by the southwest monsoon (Habagat).
Report from the Weather Company said that up to moderate rain and thunderstorms brought by the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) may affect a large part of Mindanao on Friday morning, the report said adding that this may be followed by light rain in the evening.
The ridge of a high pressure area is affecting Luzon.
In Metro Manila, chance of rain is high from the afternoon until evening, report said.
