Visayas-Based Metro Retail Stores Spreads its Seal of Safe Shopping
Homegrown Cebu-based Metro Retail Stores Group, Inc. (MRSGI), is unwavering in its commitment to help the local economy recover from the pandemic, and actively supports the government’s Safety Seal program to encourage residents to go out and resume their daily in-store activities with full confidence of being protected from the virus.
The leading retailer in the Visayas region, which has spread its network of supermarkets, department stores, and hypermarkets also in major parts of Luzon, said that the Safety Seal program is a key step that puts the economy further on the track to recovery.
By putting shoppers’ minds at ease over their health and safety concerns, more people are expected to patronize establishments that promote in-store standards of protection and sanitation, especially ones certified by the government. The Safety Seal attests that businesses strictly adhere to social distancing and to wearing of personal protective equipment, use the StaySafe.Ph contact tracing system, and have ample sanitizing stations, on top of other measures to regularly disinfect their premises.
Currently, these Metro Retail Stores in the Visayas region bear the Safety Seal given by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI: Metro Ayala Center Cebu, Metro IT Park, Metro Mandaue, Metro Tacloban, Metro Bacolod, Super Metro Mambaling, Super Metro Carcar, Super Metro Talisay Negros, Metro Naga Cebu, Super Metro Colon, Metro Colon, Metro Fresh ‘N Easy Minglanilla, Metro Atria, Metro Maasin, Metro Sum-ag, Metro Fresh ‘N Easy Mactan, Metro Fresh ‘N Easy Tabunok, Metro Baybay, and Super Metro Calbayog.
Meanwhile, Metro Retail Stores in Luzon have also been certified, namely: Metro Alabang, Metro Plaza 66 Newport in Pasay City, Metro Ayala Feliz in Pasig City, Metro Market! Market! Taguig, Metro Mandaluyong, Metro Binondo, Metro Legazpi in Albay, Metro Imus in Cavite, Metro Lucena, Metro Angeles in Pampanga, and Super Metro Naga Camsur.
MRSGI stated its intention to continue supporting the government’s call for more establishments to comply with the certification program and give consumers greater assurance in the new normal and beyond.
