Victoria’s Secret – A 3.9 Billion Dollar Brand
The Victoria’s Secret Angels are flying into the Capital for their first ever London show. They first appeared in 1997 and in the 17 years since, have helped to build a formidable global brand. The Angels are the ultimate brand ambassadors and have included some of the world’s most famous and photographed women such as Tyra Banks, Helena Christensen, Claudia Schiffer, Adriana Lima and Miranda Kerr. London based valuation and strategy agency Brand Finance has valued the Victoria’s Secret brand at $3.9bn (£2.5bn). CEO Sharen Jester Turney continues to steer the brand to success. Brand Value is up 13.5% in the last year alone, an increase of $470m (£300m).
Brand Finance Communications Director Robert Haigh comments, “Victoria’s Secret has transformed its whole category and become a household name. Lingerie used to be something discussed only furtively but even for once-stuffy Brits it is now perfectly normal, in large part thanks to Victoria’s Secret’s high-impact marketing.”
