Vaccine accessibility and affordability is the utmost priority: Bong Go
The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine’s accessibility and affordability is the national government’s top priority in preparation for the mass vaccination that will take place in the future.
As the Senate chair on the committee on health, Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said that the vaccine should be accessible and affordable so that people will slowly recover and get back to their normal lives.
“Importante ani accessibility, affordability sa vaccine. Unahon gyud ang mga frontliners para hinay hinay ta makabalik sa atong normal nga panginabuhi,” said Go.
Meanwhile in Cebu, Go also said that the whole island of Cebu will be prioritized as soon as the vaccine is available.
“Tanan priority, Mandaue, Lapu2, Cebu Province ang unahon sa national government,” Go added
On December 17, Thursday, Go and his whole team visited the fire victims of Barangay Looc, Mandaue City in it’s gym.
Groceries, food packs, and pandemic essentials like vitamins, face masks and face shields were distributed to 125 families or 653 individuals. Bicycles were also given to selected benificiaries where they can use it as an overall transportation.
Meanwhile, nearly a thousand vendors were granted assistance in Lapu-Lapu City. This took place in the public market vendors in Hoops Dome.
978 beneficiaries were given assistance, meals, grocery packs, vitamis, face maks and face shields. (MLC)
