To welcome the esteemed speakers and guests, Metro Cebu Development and Coordinating Board – Research, Program, and Organizational Development – Program Management Office (MCDCB-RPOD-PMO) Director Ms. Evelyn Nacario-Castro pointed out that traffic in Metro Cebu has become an everyday encounter. Something has to be done in order to eliminate the inconvenience this situation has given to motorists and commuters.

In his speech, Mr. Caindec said that “Traffic is the job of everyone. We are all stakeholders to the problems that we face today particularly on the problem we are facing on the road.” He emphasized that to solve the worsening traffic situation of Metro Cebu, all stakeholders must do their part of the job.

Besides Mr. Caindec, also present during the launching were Cebu City Northern District Representative Cong. Raul Del Mar and Cebu 1st District Representative Cong. Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, who took time off their busy schedules being congressmen to support the campaign. Both congressmen offered the same advice to strictly enforce the rules and regulations.

Several local chief executives including Naga City Mayor Kristine Chiong and Cordova Mayor Therese Sitoy-Cho were present during the launching to support the campaign. Mr. Peter Go, president of Cebu Road Heroes (CRH), said they are happy to take part in the campaign specifically in educating motorists on disciplined driving. Through different platforms, they are willing to extend their help in order to address the problem on traffic.

Deputy Presidential Assistant Mr. Mike Pato of the Office of the Presidential Assistant to the Visayas (OPAV) even assured that the campaign has the full support of their office.
