What makes God trustworthy?

“He passed in front of Moses and said, “I am the Lord, I am the Lord, the merciful and gracious God. I am slow to anger and rich in unfailing love and faithfulness.” Exodus 34:6

“This truth gives them the confidence of eternal life, which God promised them before the world began -and He cannot lie.” Titus 1:2

You can trust God because He always tells the truth. Nothing He has said in His Word, the Bible, has ever been proven wrong or false. He specifically created you in order to have a relationship with you for all eternity. If God says He loves you–and He always tells the truth–you can rest in the assurance that He is trustworthy.

“Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned anyone who searches you.” Psalm 90:10

“Your unfailing love will last forever. Your faithfulness is as enduring as the heavens.” Psalm 89:2
