Toyota Plans to Revive the Tamaraw FX
Remember the very dependable Tamaraw FX? Named after our very own Tamaraw, this classic light commercial vehicle (LCV) that plowed the roads during the 90s is coming back to the country, Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. announced.
Toyota Motor Philippines President Atsuhiro Okamoto said in an interview that Toyota is investing P4.4 billion for the revival of the Tamaraw FX.
Okamoto also said that Toyota wants to contribute to the economy by offering an affordable and dependable LCV to businesses in the country, especially micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
He also noted that the Tamaraw would be different from its predecessor. Okamoto said that Toyota plans to convert the Tamaraw to a utility van with a cleaner engine.
Okamoto also mentioned that the beloved Tamaraw FX will be produced in the country. (ASC)
