TouchPal Keyboard to Provide Input Solution for Google Android Wear 2.0 Preview

Mountain View, Calif. — TouchPal was presented at Google I/O on May 19, the brand new keyboard supporting Google’s newly released Android Wear 2.0 preview.

The company’s new release provides a cutting-edge input method for the Android wearable devices and has been specially adapted for the small screens.

“TouchPal Keyboard, as one of the most popular keyboards in the world, was invited by Google to use and provide feedback on Google’s new Input Method Framework (IMF) of Android Wear 2.0 before its release,” said Susan Li, CMO of TouchPal. “Through the cooperation with Google, we expect to optimize the performance and improve the user experience of Android Wear.

Applying an enhanced smart prediction engine and a customized language model to allow accurate prediction on smaller screens, the keyboard features functions tailored for the wearable devices based on TouchPal’s big data research.

The smart prediction works for both the text and the emoji input, which allows users to easily select various emojis without switching to the emoji panel, thus improving the overall texting experience.

TouchPal also introduces TouchPal Curve®, the sliding input method, for Android Wear, which fits the small screens better than the traditional typing input. Another patented technology, smart auto-correction, significantly improves the input accuracy on small screens.
