Toshiba Announces Two New Satellite Click 2-in-1 PCs

Toshiba is already working on the back-to-school season and aims at getting some share of the detachable laptop market with a pair of computers called Satellite Click 2 and Satellite Click 2 Pro.

The Satellite Click 2 and Click 2 Pro feature a 13.3-inch display, runs on Windows 8.1 and enables a seamless transition from a full-featured laptop to a convenient tablet for home users, students and mobile workers.

“Both give consumers the productivity benefits of a laptop and the convenience and battery life of a tablet in one device,” says senior director of product marketing for Toshiba America Information Systems Philip Osako in a press release.

The basic Click 2 features an Intel i5 4th generation processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500 GB hard drive and a 1366×768 HD display whereas the Click 2 Pro edition gives you a choice of Intel Haswell Core i7 or Core i5 CPU, a 128GB solid-state drive (SSD) and will feature a Harman Kardon sound system, a front HD webcam and a 5MP rear camera.

Both the Click 2 and Click 2 Pro will be available in late June.
