Joining private sector initiatives to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, Torre Lorenzo Development Corporation (TLDC) mobilized its Davao team to provide assistance to frontliners and affected communities in the region.

“In these challenging times, we aim to support the Davao region’s most vulnerable communities, just as we have always been a staunch partner for its growth and development,” said TLDC Chief Executive Officer Tomas P. Lorenzo.

Lorenzo highlighted that the company worked directly with partner communities, provided food to frontliners, and worked with the Armed Forces of the Philippines to deliver timely assistance to barangays in need.

To help augment the basic needs of its communities, TLDC distributed bags of rice to partner barangays in Davao City and Davao de Oro in coordination with local government units.

To show appreciation for frontliners, TLDC also distributed packs of pastries from the dusitD2 Davao hotel to healthcare workers at the Southern Philippines Medical Center and Davao Doctors Hospital, members of the local government units (LGUs) in Davao and Davao De Oro, and members of the AFP.

Lorenzo further shared that the company partnered with the Armed Forces of the Philippines East Mindanao Command for its Kapwa Ko Sagot Ko Program, which aimed to benefit indigent Davao City communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the program, TLDC extended support to the AFP East Mindanao Command through financial assistance which facilitated the distribution of care packages that contained basic commodities such as rice and canned goods.

“These are initiatives that we hope to continue to do as part of our commitment to the fight against the pandemic. We fully support private-public sector collaboration in providing assistance to those who need it the most,” Lorenzo added.

Through the development of premium lifestyle properties, TLDC has invested in the economy, tourism, and future of the Davao region. From pioneering premium university residences, TLDC has expanded into mixed-used developments and townships in emerging urban centers across the country.
