This Device Projects Apps and Nav on Your Car’s Windshield
A new startup company Navdy decided to create a Google Glass-reminiscent Head-Up Display (HUD) to bring drivers the same notifications and information as connected car systems like Android Auto and CarPlay, without requiring users to take their eyes off the road.
Navdy is a device that can be mounted on any car’s dashboard and it projects a transparent display on your windshield to show maps, notifications and music apps. It relies completely on voice and gesture-based controls.
The device is compatible with a variety of apps such as Google Maps and Pandora.
Navdy will cost $299 during the 30-day preorder period before eventually selling for $499 when it ships in early 2015. They’re also implementing a referral program that if you refer someone to Navdy, you can get $30 in credit.
