The Highest Paying Jobs In Philippines

Information technology-related positions remain the highest paying jobs in the Philippines, according to the latest Salary Report released Thursday by online job board JobStreet.com.

JobStreet report shows that average salary in IT-related jobs is the highest across all positions — from junior executives, with one to four year of experience; supervisors, with five or more years of experience; to assistant managers and managers.

Based on the survey done by JobStreet, the average salary of junior IT employees is at Php38,149 a month.

Aside from IT jobs, the top ten highest paying jobs for junior executives are law or legal services with average monthly salary of Php30,234; actuarial or statistics with Php28,406; customer service with Php27,890; training and development with Php27,471; public relations and communications with Php27,050; banking and financial services with Php26,275; arts and creatives with Php26,204; finance-related with Php23,907; and marketing and business development with Php23,790.

It was noted that there are new entrants in the list of ten highest paying jobs which are banking and financial services and marketing and business development, dislodging journalism and media-related jobs and quality control and assurance.

For supervisorial position, those who are in IT-related jobs get an average payout of Php63,485 per month.

This is followed by law or legal services jobs with average monthly salary of Php43,128; quality control and assurance with Php38,644; finance-related with Php36,757; customer service-related with Php36,082; banking and financial services with Php35,887; human resources with Php35,502; training and development with Php34,081; engineering-related with Php33,832; and marketing and business development with Php35,596.

The level of salary for training and development-related jobs is a new entry in the top ten list.

Employees holding managerial position in IT-related jobs earn an average monthly salary of Php86,550.

Following IT-related jobs is corporate strategy with monthly earnings of Php79,309 which also recorded the highest jump in salary with 47 percent increase, according to the report.

Actuarial science and statistics with salary of Php75,784 and quality control and assurance with Php73,574 monthly payout are also new in the list at third and fourth ranks, followed by customer service-related jobs with Php71,389, while the sixth and seventh places are also new in the ten highest paying jobs in managerial position which are security and protective services with earnings of Php67,333 and human resources with Php65,122.

Completing the top ten are training and development with salary amounting to Php64,651; finance-related with Php62,673; and law and legal services with Php61,310.

The level of salary in jobs related to public relations, architecture, manufacturing, and healthcare were displaced in the list.

JobStreet.com Philippines Country Manager Philip Gioca said in a briefing that salary in 2015 grew by an average of 7.0 percent across all specializations. He also noted that this is also the highest growth recorded in the last three years.

Meanwhile, Gioca mentioned that the total number of job advertisements in 2015 increased by at least 20 percent compared to ads posted in 2014.

Based on JobStreet job posting, about one-third of the job ads come from the IT-business process outsourcing industry with 260,278 job listings.

Following IT-BPO are retail and merchandise with 29,578 job postings; manufacturing and production with 20,764 jobs; property and real estate with 18,622 jobs; construction, building and engineering with 12,133 jobs; food and beverage, catering and restaurant with 11,225 jobs; banking and financial services with 10,731 jobs; computer and IT software with 7,457 jobs; advertising, marketing, promotion and public relations with 7,110 jobs; and general and wholesale trading with 6,392 jobs.

“This is reflective in the Philippine economy. This means that the economy is better because we can afford to create more jobs and higher salaries,” Gioca said.(PNA) RMA/KMC/EDS
