‘The Heat is On’

(Cebu City PIO) — Mayor Michael L Rama once again reminded the thousands of Cebu City Government employees to be prepared as the heat is on.

In today’s Monday morning regular Flag-raising Ceremony of the more than Five thousand employees of this city, the mayor enthuses that as early as now we have to be prepared for the incoming major activities that will be held in the city such as the 51st International Eucharistic Congress and Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, including the Mega Sinulog 2016.

The People’s Mayor also called in front and thanked all city hall employees who volunteered during the Holy Week celebration and helped in the fire that hit 50 houses in Barangay Cogon Pardo during the Easter Sunday.

He further encouraged everyone to get involved in the different activities of the city as real public servants and observe the ‘Spirit of Voluntarism’ specially during emergencies, adding that all services of the city will be extended to the fire victims through the ‘City Hall at Your Doorsteps’ program.
