The Greatest Lesson
“Learning is not only for students, but for those who chase after their dreams, regardless of age.”
When I was two, I went to nursery school. I was the only child back then. My parents and grandparents loved me dearly. I would recall my pleasant childhood memories from the betamax tapes and photos developed on film.
Then, when I was in fifth grade, I developed my passion for reading fiction books of different genres ̶ horror, friendship, fantasy and the like; never thinking that one day, I’d be writing my own story too.
Growing up, I learned the greatest lesson that my mentor taught me to be: “To stay true to one’s self and to one’s passion.”
As Sandy Cheeks says, “Everyone is good at something, but not everyone is good at everything.”
We can do so many things. In my case, I can write, sing, dance and film, but we can only be really good at one thing, and that’s what we call our “forte”.
Don’t worry if you feel like you’re not where you’re supposed to be because all it takes to find your place in this world is to find out what you can do.
Quit the complaints, do something about it.
Take the time to listen, work hard, and think smart. Always be amused, and above all, trust in God.
The very friends who stayed with you at your lowest are the very ones who will lift you up towards your dream. Your family, you surely wouldn’t get anywhere without them.
