Technology & Innovation Expo and Entrepreneurship Conference to be Held During The CBM 2015

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Cebu Business Month 2015 and the Department of Science and Technology Region 7 will bring you “The Entrepreneurship Innovation and Technology Expo” on June 18-20, 2015 at Cebu City Marriott Hotel to harness Cebuanos’ creativity, inventiveness and ingenuity in order to magnify competitive advantages, discover new strengths and hurdle limitations, thus enabling your business enterprise to become more productive.

This event will highlight DOST’s Central Visayas 2015 Regional Invention Contests with Exhibits (RICE) and Innovative Conference for Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP).

Innovation is the best response to the changing opportunities brought about by the ASEAN Economic Community Integration. In the dynamic world where entrepreneurs compete internationally due to globalization, there is a need of a platform to intensify the promotion and awareness of technology and innovation as the solutions to national competitiveness. To respond to this challenge, the Entrepreneurship Conference and Expo shall provide knowledge sharing platform to develop and promote industry roadmaps in line with the 4 Pillars of ASEAN Ecnomic Integration.

Keynote speakers are DOST Sec. Mario G. Montejo and Sen. Paulo Benigno ‘Bam’ Aquino VI. Aquio will talk on “Reform Agenda for Equitable Development.”

Other resource speakers will take on topics such as How prepared are we for ASEAN Integration: The ABAC Perspective in Pursuing the 4 Pillars of Integration, What production capabilities can we be competitive and to which ASEAN Market should we serve or link with?, National and City-focused competitiveness indicators and importance of competition policy, Working on the Industry Roadmaps towards Competitiveness, Reform Agenda for Equitable Development, ASEAN Impact to the Local Entrepreneurs and Philippine Banking Sector, ASEAN Integration Integration on Integrity, Transparency and Good Governance through Records management System and Updates on the Philippine Trade Negotiation Agenda: Focus on APEC, ASEAN and Europe Strategy, among others.
