Talisay Public School Braces Increase of Transferees

Following the tuition fee increase implemented in most private schools,  Talisay City’s public schools will be swelling with new students.

City administrator Ritchel Bacaltos, a member of the city local school board, said they expect a huge increase of students in their public schools, both in the elementary and high school levels. Bacaltos said this could be due to private schools hiking their tuition fees this school year.

Bacaltos said they have prepared the influx of transferees by adding more teachers and school rooms like the 13-classroom building in Cadulawan Elementary and High School to accommodate them.

“All roads are going to public schools because of the  increase in tuition in the private schools,” he said.
