Talisay Police Conducts “Oplan Kalinaw”
The Talisay City Police Station together with the city government of Talisay conducted the “Oplan Kalinaw” in Barangay Biasong, Talisay City.
Spearheaded by Talisay City Chief of Police Police Major Gerard Ace Pelare and Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas, the program aims to remind residents to never involve themselves in the illegal drug trade for they will persecute anyone who tries to.
Around 1,300 participants also received social services from PNP Talisay and LGU Talisay.
Mayor Gullas also acknowledged “Oplan Kalinaw” as an intelligence-driven and multi-agency program to address the problem in illegal drug trade and drug use.
Meanwhile, 512 children benefited from a feeding program through the Police and Partners Act of Kindness for the Children of Talisay (PACT). PACT is also in partnership with City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD).
In January 31 this year, around 900 residents of Lawaan III also benefited from different social services from mentioned agencies. (MLC)
