Talisay Fire Victims Receive Aid

After a fire blazed nearly 50 houses in Sitio Upper Cadicay, Barangay Lawaan III in Talisay City, the city government handed over relief and cash assistance to the fire victims on Friday, December 13.

Talisay City Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas personally distributed cash assistance to the victims and handed over P10,000 to 47 families whose houses were burned to the ground.

Individuals who are renting houses in the said area also received P5,000.

The distributed relief goods include noodles, rice and canned goods.

Mayor Gullas said that the City Social Welfare Services is now doing everything to rush the process of the cash assistance.

Meanwhile, through Gullas’ Facebook page, “Oplan Tabang” is still accepting any donations intended to help the fire victims in Lawaan III.

Food, water, housing materials, clothes are some of the things that are needed immediately. (MLC)
